Amazon Sees Nook at Best Buy, Raises Kindle at Target
The eReader Game Goes Brick-And-Mortar
On April 7th Engadget reported that Target may begin selling Amazon’s Kindle and the next day reported that Best Buy would be selling Barnes and Noble’s nook in store on April 18th. The Kindle is set to go on sale on April 25th.
While both eReaders are similarly priced at $259 as of today, the Nook is newer (for a complete comparison of the nook vs Kindle, check out Nook Share). But both the Kindle and the nook will have to compete with Apple’s iPad, which was just released April 3rd. It features an elegant ebook reader that is sure to heat up the brick-and-mortar competition because of its availability in Apple stores.
